The song 'Unwound' was instantly a success and made George Strait one of the most popular artists at that moment. George Strait came on the music scene with the appearance of the album 'George Strait's Greatest Hits' released on September 16, 1985. Back in 2013, the singer-songwriter launched The Cowboy Rides Away Tour which stretched into 2014 and was joined by Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Lee Ann Womack, Merle Haggard, Chris Young, Ronnie Dunn, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The new album reached #1 on Billboard's Country chart and features a guest appearance by Willie Nelson on the track 'Sing One with Willie'. Strait will continue supporting his 30th studio album 'Honky Tonk Time Machine' released on March 29th, 2019 via MCA Nashville. Prior to the tour, the veteran singer will be making an appearance at ATLive along with Carrie Underwood and Willie Nelson. Joining the tour in support will be special guests Little Big Town. The new 9-city campaign kicks off May 4th in Indianapolis and continues into December making additional stops in Jacksonville, Ames, Charlotte, East Rutherford, Salt Lake City, Detroit, Chicago and Las Vegas. Coming up in 2024, George Strait will be teaming up again with Chris Stapleton for another joint tour across America.
